25m UK WLTM fantastic designer for good times, laughs and hopefully long term relationship for the creation of a brand new identity/logo and homepage (traditional) + 2nd blog page (like any blog site) for teen site. ( a long-established but (sadly) underperforming UK website for teens.)
The editorial remit of the site has evolved and the design needs to reflect this. The new site will move away from the generic teen fare- fit lads, movies and cringes and instead include debates, theater, book reviews… however it cannot be worthy. The audience is 15-20 year old teenagers. The design needs to be clean, bold, kooky, cheeky (the site needs “personalityâ€), fresh and edgy.. it should not be “cuteâ€.
Inspiration can be found at popjustice.com (the logo is great), mp3sugar.com (for the boldness of the logo and background), gamevillage.com (I like the sense that it is a “home†but not the rest of the design – the population thing is nice), concertattack.com for the fantastic flash header, nme.com for font sizes, and article title sizes (these need to be large and readable). http://www.changeiscoming.org.uk has a nice two tier, text-based nav. http://www.cobahair.co.uk/ for the text on rectangle look (like on this site). I like sites to have a strong/bold header and footer: example is vimeo
Popsugar.com will illustrate my needs from the blogroll page.
Colour wise, my only main requirement is the page background isn’t white and the site isn’t too “heavyâ€.
Please email me examples of your work and availability and I will get back to you. thanks.
