Maybe you remember that "Around the Market" post when I joked about Ford and his knife wielding skills.
Apparently he's not to be judged on his knife skills, but on his ability to hold a camera. Who knew?
Since April, I have been taking pictures of the fruit market. Sometimes I struggle - how many interesting pictures of apples and potatoes can one really take?
According to Ford, there's plenty of fruit market left to see. Enjoy his pictures, and please do compliment the photos in the comments section- I'm sure you'll enjoy them as much as I did.
Did I mention Ford is still in high school? You may be able to hire him, too. He'll need a second job to pay for that fancy camera.

Pickles in the Jars
It's 11:36pm on Sunday night and we're right in the middle of a Pickle Party.

Mrs. Poage's Quick Crock Pickles (In this months "Grapevine"; also found in Karin's book, Grown In Washington)
Ball Blue Book Dill Pickles
Ball Blue Book Bread and Butter Pickles

Fabulous Cajun Pickles
It certainly wasn't my idea to take on 4 separate pickle recipes on a Sunday night.
It was their idea:

These two have a lot of pickle ambition.
Part way through the pickling process, YFMan Kevin revealed his true self, as not a man but an apparition.

This is what a kitchen looks like during the pickling process. This is a kitchen that Dale and Kevin will hopefully have clean by the time I wake up. Hint. Hint.

Goodnight internet. Pray for my kitchen - to Dale and Kevin, the night is young.
