Jesus Christ
Some people refer to Jesus Christ as a prophet, some call Him a great teacher, a kind man, when actually He was all of these.
2000 years ago, He walked this earth, teaching how to love, how to forgive others, He performed acts of charity, too many to list, and performed miracles. His life ended at the age of 33 when He died on a Roman cross. Some believed what Jesus told them, that He was the Son of God, others thought He was simply making up stories, to benefit Himself. So they crucified Him.
Three days later, He rose from the dead!
The miracles of Jesus Christ include changing water into wine, at a wedding, healing the lame and the blind, and even bringing the dead, back to life.
How does one know Jesus Christ performed these miracles? If you read the Bible, you will find four gospel writers, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John who were eyewitnesses to these miracles. Carefully written, you will find the life and times of Jesus Christ logged for all humankind to read, and re-read, and to learn from. Jesus Christ wanted his disciples to pass on what He taught them, to pass on what they witnessed, so others would be able to learn from these writings. In doing so, His wish was, that they believed, He was, who He said He was, the Son of God.
Jesus Christ said:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” (John 14:6).
Jesus Christ did not want us to put man first, nor did He want us to put religion first, He wanted us to put Him first. To believe His word, which is the Bible.
Jesus Christ tells us, and it is recorded in Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”
He wants a personal relationship with each and every one of us. He wants us to be quiet, and still, and to bring our burdens to Him. He begs us to ask, meaning for us to ask Him for His help, and He will give us His best. He asks us to seek, to look for Him, and He promises us that He will reveal Himself to us.
He is our Father. Our Heavenly Father. He tells us over and over that He wants the best for us. That He will provide for us. That He will protect us, guide us.
All He asks from us, is that we believe. Believe that He is the Son of God, who came to this earth, in human form, lived a life exactly like our lives.... and died on the cross.
His dying on the cross, made it possible for the gates of Heaven to open for you and I.
Jesus Christ wants you and I to imitate His life, to be Christ like in all our thoughts, words and deeds.... to build a personal relationship with Him, to spend time in prayer and thought with Him.
He is alive. He is real. He is waiting. He does listen.
He is Lord!
