Sanctuary Choir
       

 

Our Sanctuary Choir is directed by Pastor Dave Richards.  This choir presents four major productions each year.  Rehearsals for our productions and Sunday services are every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.  The choir leads worship and sings special music for all Sunday morning services and leads in worship on Wednesday nights before going to rehearsal.  If you are interested in singing in the choir please come to the choir room on Wednesday nights, set up an interview and receive instructions.  You may contact Pastor Dave at any time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

First Assembly's orchestra is directed by Janet Granderson.  The orchestra practices every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.  At 8:15 p.m. on many Wednesday nights the orchestra will join the choir for a combined rehearsal for the following Sunday's services.  The orchestra plays for all Sunday morning services and productions.  Anyone desiring to participate in the orchestra should talk with Janet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Christmas Celebration

 

 

 

 

 

On the second weekend of December, the choir and orchestra present a special Christmas production.  This production includes Christmas music, drama with special effects, dramatic sets and lighting.  Christmas Celebration is planned with the total community in mind; realizing that people from all faiths, the unchurched, and our own members will be attending.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

   

 

 

 

 

 

This coming year, our Music and Creative Arts Department will be combining efforts with our Pastor on Palm and Easter Sundays with creative music, drama and sermons.  This new effort will be a new and special treatment of that old but real story of Christ's life, death and resurrection.

 

Patriotic Musical

 

We will present another Patriotic Musical with multi media and great songs.  This musical has many features that appeal to all of those that love to hear the songs of our country and see the men and women in uniform with banners and flags.  This musical is a great attraction to all of our community as we present some of the best Patriotic music written.

 

 

 

 

 

 

EIP Network

 

 

 

 

 

Volunteers (Extra Important People) work almost every day helping in the Music and Creative Arts Department here at First Assembly.  Volunteers work in the libraries, build sets, sew costumes, sort and file music, input information in our music computer programs, create new concepts and work with drama scripts.  Anyone is welcome to participate.  Please see Cheryl Richards.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Praise Teams

 

 

 

 

 

Over 35 singers are involved in our Praise Teams.  There are Praise Teams for Sundays; morning and night, and Praise Teams for Wednesday nights.  If interested in being a part of this music and worship team please see Pastor Steve or Pastor Dave.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Children's Choirs

 

 

 

 

 

The children's choirs are under the Children's Ministries department.  They will be presenting a special worship and praise musical every year and a colorful inspiring Christmas musical.

One of our favorite musicals of the year is our Worship musical.  This presentation is a time when we set aside a Sunday and just worship with great music both of our services.
