FAM sports ministry is a great opportunity to get to know people, connect with your community, build relationships that last, and, of course, find some friendly competition. Bring a friend or someone who needs a church team to root for them. Reach out to the neighborhood. Invite another family out to a softball game, or bring your own kids out to play soccer or basketball. Take advantage of the beautiful weather on the golf course. Come and join us every Thursday night at 6:30 PM at the FAM Gym for open indoor soccer with the guys. We have over 40 men who get together every week for great competition. Sometimes we also play at the outdoor soccer field, and several different nationalities are meeting there and getting to know one another. Remember, you donâ€™t have to be a member of FAM to join any of our sports leagues and we encourage you to bring a friend or coworker. Co-ed volleyball is being played every Monday night in the Gym on the Central campus, unless the gym is being used for other church activities. Games start at 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. We have over 80 adults of all ages involved in this outreach. Whether youâ€™re single or married, all are welcome. Every Saturday morning in the gym on the central campus there is an opportunity for you to play pick up basketball. College age on up plays from 8-10 AM and high schoolerâ€™s play from 10-12 PM. There are no set teams or seasons. Bring a friend, relative or coworker. You do not have to be a member of FAM to play. Starting this fall, at the Minnesota Twins complex, we will be fielding several teams in the Fort Myers City Softball League. Last year we had a great response and fielded two teams. Practice times and dates will be posted starting in June. These teams are open both to those who attend and those who do not attend FAM.
