In this course, you and I will study the Old Testament from Genesis through Malachi, a good and thorough overview which will help you incredibly in understanding the New Testament. I have said this so many times from the pulpit: We cannot truly comprehend the New Testament (or covenant) until we have a working knowledge of the Old Testament (or covenant).
You will learn why the Old Testament is personal to you and how it has been preserved and passed down to us. You will learn how God called out a special people for Himself
and delivered them from slavery to the Promised Land. You will learn Godâ€™s definition of true worship.
You will become very familiar with the land of Israel and how richly God blessed the people of Israel in that holy land. You will learn of the kings of Israel and Judah, 39 of them in all, a few great, some fair, and some even downright rotten. Then you will discover how Godâ€™s people were exiled to Babylon and their recovery in Jerusalem.
