Dear Family and Friends,
There's no way I can convey how grateful I am for the support and the sacrifice you've selflessly given to our cause during this campaign. You opened your homes, neighborhoods, and your hearts. Yesterday we came up against the stiff headwinds of a presidential contest that blew against us here in South Texas. But I'm proud of the campaign we ran and the movement we formed. In every controllable component of the election, we outplayed the opposition. But sometimes it's the uncontrollable that carries the day.
Thank you for getting involved in the process. It has been an incredible honor to represent the families of District 32, and I will continue to do so for the duration of my term. I still believe that elective public service is an important and noble endeavor, and encourage every citizen, but especially the young, to participate.
I remain convinced that this community, this state, and this country, want to move forward, not backward. Let's get there together.
