As David thought about the presence of God in Psalms 139, he made many statements about how it would always be right there with him. No matter where he went or what he did, God’s presence would be there. One statement he made was that when he looks ahead, God’s there. Throughout this series, we have explored how God is with us in our daily lives, and to conclude the series, we will see how God is with us in our future as well.

Young adults have so many questions about their future that have not yet been answered. For most people, some of the primary events in their lives are getting married, having a family, having a career and buying a house. Most of these events are fairly permanent and can provide a sense of security because you no longer have to think about who you will spend the rest of your life with or where you will go to work tomorrow.

But young adults are typically at the place where they are single, do not have a career or permanent residence yet. They long for these things but they are still just a dream. Many people grow impatient because they are not getting what they want when they want it. This is a frequent struggle of most young adults.

However, the good news is that God is already in your future. He already has unbelievable plans for your life and is guiding you down the path so you can experience those blessings. And even if you do not think you are making any progress toward your goals, God is moving you closer every day to that future of abundance.

So remember the next time that you are frustrated that you do not have the things you want yet that God is already in your future and he has prepared rich blessings for you if you are patient and follow his lead.
