What You Need

[image] You will need a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to run Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers. A Java 5 JRE is required.

Download the Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers (Package Contents - Package FAQ) Use the utility for your platform to decompress the downloaded file onto your file system (Windows™ users, see this note). If you intend to use Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers, you must separately download an application server (Click here for more information about application servers). Additional features can be installed from the Europa Update Site via the Update Manager, including:
