Hi! Great to have you "screening" us today!

This place is called "echurch". echurch is a cyberchurch. We are a relational network of people from different continents, countries, communities, tribes and cultures with a common interest and love – Jesus.

You will find a wide variety of contributions here at echurch. Thinkers, authors, teachers, preachers, researchers, futurists, bloggers... extraordinary talents with ordinary Jesus-following challenges and lives. Through a relational connection with the echurch family they are contributing to all of us their experiences, thoughts, wisdom and insights under various different catagories.

Get clicking. Nice to have you here. Visit back here often for new perspectives – and share yours.

We are part of the “ekerk†family, currently made up of us here at echurch, ekerk.co.za, TheBreadAndWine.org, and BookDisciple.com. ekerk is Afrikaans for echurch, and Afrikaans is one of 11 official languages in South Africa. ekerk is under the relational leadership of Stephan Joubert and a team of South African revolutionaries.

Meet the crew... Dries Cronje looks after the technical stuff – he’s the webmaster. Dries Lombaard heads up the content and networks the contributors and content globally.

We have also consulted with our brother Mynhardt van Pletsen throughout the design and development process of echurch. Thanks for your input Myn!

We are a truly global cyberchurch. Our contributors are from all over the planet. We comment, contemplate and commune on relevant issues touching our world in every tribe on earth. echurch has a vision to truly expand all borders through the virtual network of relations. Therefore you will also see a combination of contributors on our team that might not easilly be found on many other sites of this kind. What is precious to us is that we have a personal relationship with each contributor in a special and unique way.

Our motto, 'Carpe Manana', simply means "seize tomorrow"... 'cause that is where we’re heading – without missing a second of today, and drawing wisdom from yesterday.

echurch builds on three distinct values:
being missional,
being relational and
being incarnational.
Look out for these values in everything we publish.

As Christians we are advised by Jesus to live for the moment, for today. Still, Jesus also said that if we do not learn to read the signs of the times in the same manner as we read the signs of changing weather, we cannot go forward in the world with the great news.

Seizing tomorrow without losing today, or ignoring yesterday, is risky. Then we might end up living an idea that might never come. The amazing challenge of following Jesus is stepping on His footsteps that comes from yesterday, are imprinted in today, and walks towards tomorrow.

Welcome to echurch. Cyberchurch heading for tomorrow, online today.
