greennetworks1_30_05_08.jpg

We are living during a time when we truly understand that every action that we take has a global impact. In terms of the mobile phone industry, we see this primarily in the way that mobile phone technology spreads throughout the first world nations and in to developing countries. Additionally, we have seen the use of greener practices from mobile phone companies around the world which are designed to create a better environment for all of us.

In order to compete in this global market, businesses have to prove that they have the global interest at heart. This fact has led to something of a competition between various mobile phone networks to create eco-friendly programs and practices that are designed to show off their concern for the greater good. Although some of these programs are fueled by the regulations of the country in which the network is based, most are due to the fact that these days it really does pay to be green.

The Lazy Man’s Guide to Going Green with your Mobile

We all know that mobile phones are bad for the environment. And we all know that we should be doing our part to be eco-friendly and save the earth. But the reality of human nature is that most of us are pretty darn lazy, even when it comes to the actions that we think are important. As a result, the majority of people are more likely than not to keep doing damage to the earth with their mobile phone use because it’s easier to do than not to do. You would most likely be inclined to go green with your mobile phone if it was just a little bit easier to do than it seems to be.

Green Speak - A Guide to Eco-Friendly Mobile Phones

There are numerous environmental concerns that come up when talking about our cell phones. First of all is the obvious issue that cell phones have a short life span; most of us use our mobile phones for only about a year before we want to get rid of the old one and upgrade to a new one. Secondly, these cell phones often aren’t recycled and so end up in landfills where they actually may create toxic reactions that can further damage the environment. These problems have been getting better in recent years as regulations are put into place which make it easier to be more eco-friendly with your phone. Despite this, it remains important that each individual take actions which help mitigate the environmental damage done by mobile phones.
