About Me
A warm welcome to you dear reader! If you have not already, why not subscribe to my RSS feed, or get my latest thoughts on Industrial Design in your Email Inbox for free?
Thanks for visiting and please keep in touch? ~ D.T.
The Design Translator (DT), is an award winning, multi-disciplinary industrial design leader that specializes in strategic design and product realization programs that drive successful brands and businesses.
During the day in typical Clark Kent fashion, DT goes undercover as a dashing Senior Design Manager at a consumer electronics company you would have heard off.
At night in his Hero Suit, he blogs, changes diapers, dabbles in design-entrepreneurship, practices investing, and swings from building to building righting wrongs.
He has recently rekindled his love for photography, and is a big fan of table top war games such as Warhammer where he plays The High Elves. He also loves a good round of golf, but never has the time to get on the Green. Therefore, he takes it out on his Nintendo Wii with WiiGolf.
He likes to believe he is a Citizen of the World but really lurks in Singapore, Sydney and occasionally China.
Other Locations
You can often find DT roaming the internet. Here are a few other places you can find him at:
Guest Blogging with great company at The Future Lab Network, giving advice at Yanko Design, and finally the Managing Editor at IDAsia.org.
Ever the social media slut, DT is a member of most social networks. Here are the more popular ones:
Stumbling at Stumble Upon
Shovelling at Digg
Blabbing at Twitter
Plurking with other “haut” geeks on Plurk.
Please feel free to add him to your network if you also happen to be there too!
About the Design Sojourn Blog
Design Sojourn catalogs DT’s journey in design. A journey that, should you decide to follow, will teach you how to do good design and create clever products.
Therefore as your guide, DT will attempt to translate what he sees, knows and learns about Industrial Design Strategies and Management into a language everyone can understand. Basically hints, tips and suggestions that young designers can find insightful and experienced designers find refreshing.
Finally you will also get to step in the DT’s shoes as he goes through his own trials and tribulations in fulfilling his dream of being a Design Entrepreneur.
