I’m going to start reviewing music. So there.
I had heard Sojourn Community Church’s teaching pastor, Daniel Montgomery, at the recent Acts29 Conference in Raleigh, and loved his story of SCC’s love for the arts. Being in a similar context in Greenville (arts-oriented: our city of 100,000 supports 5 art galleries), I was interested in what they were doing. But I forgot. After a comment by Bobby Gilles on this blog, I decided to check out Sojourn Music (link).
And I’m glad I did.
I bought this album, Before the Throne, and it is, in a word, awesome. It’s full of great, introspective songs such as the rockabilly My Maker and My King, or the mournful and repentant Lead Us Back. Collaboration within Sojourn’s community of worship writers and leaders is amazing, and is clearly evident on this album, with each song having a personality on its own. Stunning, Gospel-centered stuff…available on iTunes. Rating: 9/10
Just wanted to let you guys know of a couple new bloggers from Harmony out there. Brad recently joined the leadership team after Donald left to assist a new AG church plant in Williamston, NC. You can read Brad’s blog here: brad beamon.
Becca Mueffelmann has been with us since January, she’s got a great head on her shoulders, is growing in the Gospel, and come August, will be co-leading the Campus Echo group. You can read her blog here: a continuing story.

Songs from the worship set will be uploaded shortly. The time says that the sermon is only 1:01 long, but it’s in reality 39:21. Go ahead and download it, it works, the time is simply wrong.
A little more useful and functional: able to be updated, coming events functionality soon, and a little ‘cleaner’ than the old site. Check it out here: HarmonyGreenville.Com, let us know what you think!
