What's a database-driven project?

It's a collection of information that can be sorted, searched and displayed in different ways.

Why do we do this?

It allows readers to find and view the kinds of information that reporters often see before writing stories. It can also help people make decisions about matters relevant to them. Example: A person moving to the Denver area might want to compare the performance of school districts in standardized testing.
