America Live and In Person

This election heralds a new political landscape in our nation, and it is an exciting time for citizens of all walks of life to reflect on how each of us fits into the big American picture. Every person in our country is affected by democracy in different ways. Whether you are a Democrat, Republican or Independent, we want to know what America means to you. Submit your story, and it will be uploaded online for others to view and vote for their favorites. The best submissions will be showcased on this web site. This is your stage and your time to shine.

Cinemocracy Short Film Festival

We are calling all filmmakers, artists and other creative people to get your creative juices flowing and enter Cinemocracy, a short film competition. Share your ideas through the creation of a short five-minute film that addresses the question, "What is Democracy?" The top 25 films chosen by viewers will be screened at a public event during the convention. Additionally, the winning film will be screened at the 31st Starz Denver Film Festival (November 13-23). Films can be rated on www.cinemocracy.org.

Dialog:City

Dialog:City is an event that brings together art, democracy and digital media for 10 site-specific art installations in neighborhoods throughout Denver on August 21-29. World-renowned artists ranging from a MacArthur Fellow to a leading "green" design faculty member will come together to create a series of innovative commissioned works in conjunction with local organizations and students. Participation in Dialog:City is open to all citizens of Denver and to visitors from around the world. Join in, and participate in the art of democracy at www.dialogcity.org.
