I thought this video was very well done, if you can get past reagan...but it's a nice contrast.

1. Reagan asked a very important question then and it is just as important now.
Only this time the answer is glaringly obvious.

2. Glaringly obvious to MOST of us...
unfortunately some are still blind to the obvious! (coworkers/relatives!)

3. This should be obama's TV ad a week before the election date!
Obama should just use this clip and slap "I approve this message" at the end.
It'd resonate with with so many independents and republicans, and be controversial and very ironic to the extent that it'd be a hot news topic for a while.

6. It's easy enough to get past Reagan
I never liked nor agreed with him on anything. I had to hold my nose while voting for Carter, and I understood very well why Reagan won. For those who don't understand, look no further than his remarks here. The answers, unfortunately, all went his way.

7. Love it! Great to see someone co-opting Reagan's words like that.
But we should also be asking the question "Are you better off than you were 28 years ago?"

9. Brilliant! Some of the best work never gets seen on TV.
That's the kind of ad that turns indies into Dem voters.

10. of course, Reagan missed his own irony
If most people had actually thought and asked themselves, were they better off in 1980 than in 1976, the answer would have been yes, and therefore Carter should have been reelected. If they had asked are you better off in 1988 than in 1984, they would have said no, and Reagan would not have been reelected.

13. Who knew that Reagan could be so prophetic?
I know he's a saint and all...
...but still, being able to produce that video so far ahead of time for us? Genius!

14. God, I loathe that senile old fraud!
But this clip was done beautifully. Wouldn't the Repukes crap themselves, seeing Ronald Reagan used in an Obama ad this way? Nancy's head would explode if she saw this, LOL!
