"Ever tried peanut butter and bacon? I guess the coke and ice cream would make a good combination. I have had root beer floats before and that was essentially carbonated root beer and ice cream"
Oh dear Lord! Peanut butter and bacon was a favorite when I was a kid! Mom would make em for supper sometimes, and my brothers and I would scarf em down like they were goin out of style!Black Cows they used to call rootbeer floats!

now that its October/november/december, every day i think about how all the boats are doing. i really wish there were a live feed, only problems with that is swearing, someone getting injured, and it would be pretty expensive to get satellites to broadcast that.i dont know, just an idea

"Thank you for your kind words. These guys are brave - every single one of them - and the hardest working men I have EVER seen. I am so proud to be able to call these guys my friends and family. I love my life here and wouldn't change a thing, and I feel safe saying I speak for most of the wives/girlfriends of fisherman that I know. I hope that when my son grows up he will fish as well just like his great-grandpa, grandpa, dad, uncles, cousins, friends ......................"
That is tremendous to keep this in the blood of each generation, and keep the tradition going. This is just about the last trade on earth where father teaches sons & sons teach their sons, & on & on.............That in itself is so very special. I'm proud to know you..................sajsam♥♥♥♥

I looked on CNN and searched the boat accident and on one of the links it said that most of the crew was FROM the Northwest not the Northwestern. It did list the captain as beeing Henry Blake and he was found and o.k. Search for the remaining two crew members was to resume at day break today when members are found or search is called off and all families notified they will post a list of names for the crew members. They also stated that most were from Washington and some were from Oregan and Alaska.

here's a snippet:
"Coast Guard rescuers pulled the survivors from a life raft about 15 hours after the distress call. They were rescued in 43-degree water near the Amchitka Pass, which links the Bering Sea to the Pacific Ocean about 1,400 miles southwest of Anchorage. The crew's survival suits, physical condition and their efforts to keep one another semi-warm and awake all could have helped them endure, said Coast Guard Petty Officer Levi Read."AP has posted the story: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27326811/
