With the US general election drawing closer this is a timely topic to discuss in the light of a Christian worldview. November 12, 2008, 8 PM EST: Dr. Joel Beeke joins William Hill in a discussion of his book Living for God's Glory: An Introduction to Calvinism (Hardcover).
Dr. Joel R. Beeke serves as President and Professor of Systematic Theology and Homiletics, as well as Academic Dean for students from the Heritage Reformed Congregations. He is currently a pastor of the Heritage Reformed Congregation in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a position he has held for 20 years. He has been in the ministry for 28 years. He is also editor of the Banner of Sovereign Grace Truth, editorial director of Reformation Heritage Books, president of Inheritance Publishers, and vice-president of the Dutch Reformed Translation Society. He has written, co-authored, or edited fifty books and contributed over fifteen hundred articles to Reformed books, journals, periodicals, and encyclopedias. His Ph.D. (1988) from Westminster Theological Seminary is in Reformation and Post-Reformation Theology. He is frequently called upon to lecture at Reformed seminaries and to speak at conferences around the world. He and his wife, Mary, have 3 children: Calvin, Esther, and Lydia.
December 11, 2008, 7:30 PM EST: James White will be back on the program to discuss his book PULPIT CRIMES: The Criminal Mishandling of God's Word This should be an interesting discussion.
