Slow and hanging Internet! Ok now that I got that out of the way. I purchased this to interface with my home automation system. It has alot of features and most perform well. It is no Travel GPS but will suffice in a pinch. The internet is buggy at best and yes I have the latest OS build. Purchased a 8gb MicroSD and inserted with MiniSD converter to no avail. Said it would work but wont. Boot time is atrocious when having someone standing there waiting on you to get a PDF open. Better than a Palm but still drives me crazy. I usually break down and jump to the laptop over this thing.

The browser might seem slow but it is a real browser so you can watch anything using Flash - not just youtube from a side-app. It plays anything except a few windows media formats (some radio stations, some files). The screen can be read in bright sunlight, and they may have fixed the GPS problem (and it can use an external bluetooth GPS) and it comes with a mapping program with a subscription directions, but you can always do google-maps or any others in the browser. It can also act as a USB drive, so moving files is trivial, and it easily picks up wireless connections - both Wifi hotspots and bluetooth headsets for listening.

Note that it uses mini-SD cards. Will stream video! Linux based - tons of free software. GPS is slow to lock onto the satellites. Metal construction. Not plastic like my PalmTX. User replaceable battery! Much free software. My Tx required alot of expensive add-ons. (Still like my Tx though!) Keyboard is tiny for big thumbs like mine. Would like another 1/8'' between screen and top row of buttons.

The N810 is amazing its one of the best peices of technology I've ever bought. The website says the battery lasts 14 days but is more like 10 days and in use it can last about 7 hours not 10. you can even install programs from the maemo website. One thing I don't like is that it takes a very long time to charge the battery.
