I am feeling... working
Right now I am... enjoying my day off and hopefully getting better
I am a female and am 19 years old!

My Biography:
My name is Erica, but my nickname is Paprika:) I'm 5,8 and my hair is naturally black. I'm Mexican American. I'm 19 years old, and I've been a Christian since 2003. I'm a teenager so I like to goof around. I have a weird sense of humor. My mom says I'm weird. My sense of humor does not apply for people 48 or older. Lol:) I have always been popular with people but ever since I got serious with my walk with Christ, I have decided to become a Christian nerd. I have always been a nerd but I was scared to admit it, but now I can. Nerds 4 Christ unite lol. I grew up in L.A. and by the age of 5 I moved to Humboldt County. I know two languages. I speak Spanish and English...and a little bit of french. I'm a musician. I've been singing for 17 years now. I'm a second soprano. If anyone wants to know;) I play guitar, but I'm no Johnny Cash when it comes to chords and rifts and stuff. I'm single and I live with my parents. My dad is a pastor and my mom is in church leadership. I'm the oldest of three children. I'm the good one:) I love Lifehouse (the band) and I love all types of Christian music. I'm a worship leader, but for now God has me focusing on 'THE HEART OF WORSHIP" not the song but the meaning of worship. I believe in no dating and waiting for the right one. I love Josh Harris books and Joyce Meyers. My role model is Janna Long from Avalon. I love Jesus very much:) My desire is to expand his kingdom here on earth and let his WILL be done. I plan going to Bethany College/university in a year or so. I plan on studying music and becoming a pastor. I would like to get married and later on have lots of babies...but for now God is healing my broken heart:) Right now I am working on recording some songs. I plan on making a demo next year and seeing where God takes me from there. My biggest dream isn't to be rich or famous or married. But to be a recording artist and see God's healing through the music he and will inspire me to sing and write:)

My Testimony:
I had always had a connection to God in a some weird way. I always knew he was real. I was 14 years old. I had ruled middle school as THE QUEEN BEE. I got majorly back stabbed by my own best friends. I was into pornography and into just ruining other people's lives for fun. I got sick of that life, hoping some rich guy would save me from my invisible pain. I cried out to God. I wanted to see if he would answer me. If he answered me I would give him my life. I wrote poems, journal entries and even suicide letters. I felt like I couldn't go on. I was one of those people who grew up in church, but didn't and always felt weren't ready to serve the Lord. Until one day my youth leader asked me if I would like to go to a camp for FREE. Since it was Free...I said yes. I packed my things and left. God blew my mind AWAY! The first night of camp was incredible. I accepted Christ into my heart. I worshiped like I never did before. I learned how to pray, worship, listen and prophesies, and forgive. The third night was the most powerful. God had placed on the speaker to preach about forgiveness. I started crying about 12 minutes into the message. I didn't even know why? I broke down and I felt God wanted me to forgive. I forgave EVERYONE I could think of. Then the speaker laid hands on me and said "you're not forgiving yourself" I yelled to the top of my lungs "I FORGIVE MYSELF" Then I knew I was free. God answered me! I felt alone all my life, abandon in some gutter...but it changed when he came. I came back from camp and people noticed a difference right away. I stopped cussing, listening to secular music, and got into Jennifer Knapp and Jaci Velasquez. Became the worship leader..the youngest one in church history! God had truly been the cause of it. I went through a lot of trials to get where I am now. And I know that it wasn't because of me, but because of him. Sure we'll fall, but he'll always pick us up. He'll take us back...ALWAYS.
