Kanguru Solutions has launched their updated QuickSilver external hard drive lineup.
The new drive can be used horizontal or vertical for optimal desk space, has a new design with an alloy case that improves heat dissipation from the drive, and can withstand up to 200Gs shock/impact (good for the usual drops).
The revised QuickSilver also uses a cool new blue LED backlighting the Kanguru logo on the front face for a sleeker look, and is available across the line of USB2.0 or USB/FireWire combo models in 2.5″ and 3.5″ sizes. The new top-of-the-line model offers a fast 7200 RPM drive and whopping 400GB of storage.
As with prior models, the QuickSilver should be fully plug and play with Windows 98-XP, MacOS 9-X, and Linux 2.4.1 kernal OSes.
