Some major changes to the ApeXtreme console have taken place behind closed doors – and now we get to see the outcome. The addition of PVR capabilities is certain to make this a hot device! The ‘downgrading’ of the GPU from a DeltaChrome DX9-shader chipset to a GeForce 4MX (non-shader) chipset will certainly reduce the game-playing ‘power’ of the product. It’s too bad it isn’t going to use a GeForce FX or GeForce 6 chipset – that would be an increbily competitive console-plus box! (more…)
