Celebrating God’s Love Through Worship
We are a ministry family that is connected by our love for God, our church and our calling to music and the arts. Whether it be in the choir (adult or children's), orchestra, praise and worship band, choreography, drama teams or annual theater productions, this ministry has many opportunities to present Christ’s message through singing, dance and visual arts.
Capital Choir - Voted Sacramento's Best (Five out of Six Years)!
Capital Orchestra
The orchestra rehearses on Thursdays in the Main Auditorium from 6:00-7:00pm and performs in the Sunday Traditional (8:00am) and Classic (9:30am) services.
Capital Praise & Worship Band
The 678 Youth Choir
The middle school youth choir (6th, 7th, 8th grade) rehearses during the fall and spring on Wednesdays at 6:00pm in the Fireside room. The choir performs specials in the youth and main services, fall concert, and 3-day tour every May.
The Hide & Seek Club
These graded choirs (K-5th grade) rehearse during the school year on Wednesdays from 6:00-6:45pm and present a worship concert in the fall as well as a spring musical.
Theatre Arts
Throughout the year, the Music & Creative Arts team produce major theatrical events (the Singing Christmas Tree, Easter, worship concerts, children’s musicals, etc.). These are great opportunities to involve people with gifting's in various theatrical skills (set design and construction, costuming, hair and makeup, dance, drama, lighting, etc.). The team is always adding people who wish to be used when the opportunity arises.
