What do I do when life hurts?

How can I overcome my burdens?

Why can’t I live the life God intended?

Where can I go to find answers?

Who would care about my problems?

What do I do with my addictions?

I don’t want to be who I am any more!

Mission
Calvary Church is a caring community with a
mission to reach out to the hurting, the
helpless and the poor in spirit. Every week,
Calvary comes alongside hundreds of people
from all over North Texas to help them
conquer their life struggles through the power
of Jesus Christ through Celebrate Recovery.

How It Works
Celebrate Recovery combines the dynamics of Biblical fellowship, contemporary worship, casual teaching, testimonies of victory,
structured small groups and personal discipleship to build a solid
foundation for victorious life in Christ. The program is a free
ministry of Calvary Church and there is little to
no cost for participants.

Who Is It For
Some people have the misconception that they
only need a recovery program if they have
specific addictions, such as alcohol or drugs.
This is not true at Celebrate Recovery! This
ministry is also for anyone who wants more
victory in their life, wants to be more
effective in their relationships, make better
decisions or more victory in their life. While
Celebrate Recovery is one of the most effective
programs for specific addictions, less than 33%
of participants identify alcohol or other chemical
dependencies as their primary recovery focus.

Plan For Success
The plan for success in Celebrate Recovery is simple. Come to the
meetings, engage with the people, work the steps given to you
and watch God change your life! For maximum impact in your
journey, we recommend that you do the following:

Complete a CR Step Study
(offered at various times throughout the week).

Engage in relationships with others in recovery.

Step Studies
Step Study Groups use a series of four workbooks
(see resources below) to go through the 8 Biblical
Principals and 12 Steps of Recovery. Meeting
times are never on Friday evenings, but are
scheduled at other times throughout the week
when leaders are available and participants
can commit.

Step Study Enrollment
Step Study Groups run for a fixed period (they cover 26 lessons)
and have start dates throughout the year. They are open to anyone
for the first weeks. Then they close and remain so until
completion. If you want to participate in a Step Study, notify us
through the response slip and we’ll let you know when the next
one starts!

Who Leads It
Celebrate Recovery is a comprehensive program developed at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA.  It is licensed to literally thousands of churches throughout the U.S. and abroad.  Saddleback provides national and international leadership to facilitate the growth of the program.  You can read more about that at http://www.celebraterecovery.com/.  In order to use the Celebrate Recovery trademarks, each individual church must agree to operate Celebrate Recovery to a specific standard and with only approved curriculum.  Beyond that, each Celebrate Recovery program operates under the Biblical authority of the local church that offers is.  The program has very specific qualifications that program leaders must meet and standards that they are held to.

Here is how our current leadership team lines up.

[image]Juli Ann Wilhite serves as the Director of Celebrate Recovery
Calvary.  She has a strong recovery testimony herself, and has extensive
experience with Celebrate Recovery and AA. Juli has been
instrumental in preparing women in recovery for leadership roles in many
areas. She is also a trained leader in Theophostic Prayer and is pursuing
her Christian Counseling license.

We are currently looking for qualified Encourager coaches (for men and for women) and Assimilation (internal and external. There is need for more issue-based Open Share Small Groups on Friday nights as well. Training is provided to help interested parties meet the necessary qualifications. Finally, the growth of our ministry means that we have several newcomers who are looking for qualified Sponsors. Our CR leadership team meets on the last Wednesday night of each month for training. If you are interested in leadership for Celebrate Recovery Calvary, please contact one of the leaders above for more information.

Recovery Materials
Calvary Church stocks the basic Celebrate Recovery materials for you at the resource table in the chapel on Friday nights and in our church
book store. However, on occasion we may temporarily run out of a particular item. If you prefer, you can order these materials on-line
directly (from the same place we get them). Here are the links for the basic resources that everyone (including other churches that offer
Celebrate Recovery) uses so you can order them yourself!
