How do we help those that struggle with pornography addiction?

My husband has been struggling with porn and I have tired being angry,supportive and tried to numb myself at times but this is not the life I want.He keeps falling into the same sin.our church doesnt not have a support group for this and would like some advice or someone who can counsel us in westchester new york(God fearing offcourse)

Mae, the "Every Man's Battle," series has been quite successful, and addresses the issues of sexual sin, including pornography. The series expanded to include "Every Young Man's Battle," and that may be a place to start for your son. I pray this helps.

I'm a 23 y/o female, and before I was filled with the Holy Spirit, I struggled with pornography on almost a daily basis. Since being baptized in the Spirit I havent watched pornography for about 5 years straight. God is truly able to deliver! It's only because he "quitÃ³ el deseo" (took away the desire) as Anibal Perpetua said that I've been able to remain free of this bondage. I want to encourage those struggling with porn and those whose loved ones are, that God can do anything. I also want to beseech you to pray for and work with the women who may be entangled as well. A good book I'm reading now is Love, Sex & Lasting Relationships by Chip Ingram. Not specific to porn, but may help with the heart of the issue. Remember, God is the greatest power!

My experience with this is in counseling the wives of these men. Their biggest frustration lies in that because this is a "hidden" sin even when their spouses are in these groups and individual accountability relationships they are often still seeking out pornography. The second issue is that their spouses addictions are devastating to the marriage, but there is little support from the church on how the wives should proceed. Porography addiction needs to be dealt with from an inclusive position within the church if we want to be truly succenssful in helping these people.

What about my 18 year old son? I don't know if it's an "addiction" or not, but I know in our conversations that he is battling with his "demons" that cause him to go to the internet for porn. Sounds like an addiction, doesn't it? Is there anything written specifically for teens that you know of?
