Well, at the end, I managed to have my blog under my own look, based on Journalized Winter theme by Mike Little. Basically, only the CSS style sheet has been changed.

Anyway, I wanted my blog personalized in same manner. I has for me a romantic and nostalgic flavour (emulators, ZX Spectrum, ’80s & ‘90)… hope you like it.

As Spanish being my mother tongue, this blog site used to be in Spanish.

Now, and thanks to the polyglot plugin for Wordpress, this site will be (whereever possible) in both languages, English and Spanish (and apologies for English grammar/spell mistakes :P). Just choose your preferred language in the left (or right, depending on theme!) sidebar.

If a post appears only in one language (usually Spanish) it means there’s no English translation available (usually unimportant ones).

Anyway, hope you enjoy this blog, and check the plugins pages! They might be useful to you.

Los Captcha’s son esas imágenes extrañas y distorsionadas con números y/o letras, que tienes que teclear en algunos sitios web para confirmar que eres tú, un ser humano y no un programa el que se identifica. Una de sus principales misiones es evitar el Spam en los comentarios de los blogs.

He desarrollado una extensión para wordpress, que los implementa. Sigue leyendo, y versión una demostración.

En realidad ya había desarrollado una versión beta, que es la que usé para el reproductor musical de la cabecera (lo comento en el post anterior sobre música libre). En cualquier caso, en la página del plugin te lo puedes descargar. El plugin es muy fácil de instalar.

Internet brinda unas posibilidades antes inimaginables. Cualquiera puede contar cuentos, hacer periodismo casero, fotografía, montar su propio museo e incluso publicar su música.

Este poder quedaba antes en manos de las discográficas. Unos señores llamados productores decidían (para eso invertían su dinero) qué música era la que salía al mercado y así probar suerte. Read the rest of this entry »
