BUSH, The A-bom(b)-ination Must Be Censured
FEINGOLD CALLS FOR CENSURE OF PRESIDENT, ADMINISTRATION OFFICIALS OVER IRAQ & ATTACK ON RULE OF LAW
Feingold to Introduce Resolutions Censuring President Bush, Vice President Cheney, and Other Administration Officials
July 22, 2007
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Russ Feingold announced today that he will introduce two censure resolutions condemning the President, Vice President and other administration officials for misconduct relating to the war in Iraq and for their repeated assaults on the rule of law. Feingold called the resolutions appropriate and necessary steps for Congress to rebuke an administration that is responsible for some of the worst misconduct and the worst abuses of the law in American history.
“Censure is about holding the administration accountable,†Feingold said. “Congress needs to formally condemn the President and members of the administration for misconduct before and during the Iraq war, and for undermining the rule of law at home. Censure is not a cure for the devastating toll this administration’s actions have taken on this country. But when future generations look back at the terrible misconduct of this administration, they need to see that a co-equal branch of government stood up and held to account those who violated the principles on which this nation was founded.â€
Feingold is my hero! Go, go, go – Stop these MadMen who hi-jacked this country. Censure their butts! We have a lot of shit to clean up.

I dunno, bosskitty. Feingold, with his recent statement that there was too much else to do to be bothered with impeachment, was a huge turnoff to me and a watered down censure is not what his oath demands. I’m grateful for any congressional action against the administration, but he is very right that censure is no cure and a cure is what we need.

Mirth, I applaud ANY effort to condemn this A-bomB-a-nation. These self-righteous scumbags have to get tarred and feathered with any tool we can find. If Congress is too wimpy to do the RIGHT thing, then encourage them to do ANYthing.

Anything is worth a try. Sitting on ones hands does nothing.

I agree with both of you, yet in this case Feingold’s action is meaningless and even he admits he’s looking for a break from the judgmental finger historians will point directly at this Congress. Worse, this attempt at censure could complicate the appropriate actions of Conyers as he tries to put together what needs to be done…impeachemnt.
I’ve lost respect for Feingold.

I prefer Conyers plan over Feingold’s but at least they are talking publicly about something. Pelosi is MIA and that is more irritating to me that half baked plans.

I hadn’t seen this post before I responded to you on Liberally Mirth.
I saw this too. Good for Feingold. But, Harry Reid (Pelosi’s pal) said today he’s disinclined to let it come to the Senate floor for a vote!
You can’t make this shit up. Bush is still being protected by the Dinos in the Democratic party. It’s beyond comprehension.

That’s fine. I knew you’d catch up to us.
Here’s the comment on put on Liberally Mirth
The idea of Pelosi and Ried shooting down any attempt, good or bad, to go after Bush and Cheney should be questioned by members of Congress.
I hope that neither Feingold nor Conyers drop their plans. Some discussion need to happen on this topic outside of the blogs.

You guys are incredible … here, I put a hopeful revelation that SOMEONE is formulating an official protest. Whether it works or not is really not the point, the point is, that every time someone in office presents a challenge to King George, the Main Scream Media cannot ignore it. More noise, please!

The biggest enemies of the republic aren’t only Bush, Cheney, Rove and Rice — it’s the Dino wing of the Democratic party who refuse to follow the US Constitution.
Get. Rid. Of. All. Of. Them.

Hear Hear! The razor’s edge between left and right extremists is a tiny place to congregate … how many moderates can YOU fit on the point of a pin?

I’m completely with Christopher on this.
It isn’t just extremists who have visited this ruin on our nation.
Good luch to Feingold, but had I the opportunity I would vote for his challenger in ‘08.

That would be the 108th, 109th & 110th Congress. They are all guilty of not following the Constitution or their oath of office.
