Kleeb Says U.S. Gov’t Needs to Spend on Alternative Energy
McCook Daily Gazette reports that Scott Kleeb, a democratic senate hopeful, says the national debt currently reaches $9.4 trillion where there was a budget surplus just seven years ago. The national debt has increased more in the last 7.5 years than it had during the past 42 presidencies all together. Kleeb says the $700 billion that the government spends every year on foreign oil should instead be invested in alternative fuel sources such as ethanol, biodiesel, solar energy, and wind energy.
