About Girls Ministries
History
In 1956 the Women's Ministries Department of the Assemblies of God recognized the need for a Pentecostal girls program to mentor the next generation. The purpose of Girls Ministries is based from Titus 2:4 which is the older woman teaching, training, and discipling the younger woman.
Girls Ministries Fivefold Purpose
To win girls to Jesus Christ through love and acceptance To teach them to obey everything Jesus commanded us - developing girls spiritually and mentally To provide encouragement, support, and accountability through lasting Christian relationships To provide an environment for girls to develop their gifts and abilities To acquaint them with the Great Commission of Jesus Christ our Lord
Mission Statement
The National Office is commited to -
Providing effective discipleship tools and support to districts and local churches. Enabling leaders to accomplish the fivefold purpose of Girls Ministries through women mentoring girls. Believing God for a harvest of girls - fulfilling his perfect plan for their lives.
