Just Chillin

Another day, another time in the computer lab with the students in the Upward Bound program. Today has been one of those dragging days, but a good one. I am just chillin for now. When I get home, I will attend to the website, and then possibly work on something concerning basketball.

What happens before I leave work is the story of my day: get my driver's license (finally); chat with my older 'brother;' ride my bike to Subway for lunch with Kyera; taught class; sat in class; sat in meeting; ate dinner; and here I am. Not too long of a day, just one that sends me to one too many places.

Well, that is it for now. I wish that my palm was wireless, that way I could update this more. Oh well, maybe the new design will help things.

A Different Look

Hello all;
Well, once again I have been up late and took a small idea into a totally different website. Please bear with me as I take the time to get all of the content from the old design over to the new design. I am hoping to have a bit more in terms of graphics and other design elements. If you have any comments, please send me an email. In the meantime, I will be getting some rest. Peace. Read More

Wireless and Fun

Right now I am sitting outside fo Somerset House at Millersville University chillin online. To have the ability to go wireless with a wifi or bluetooth network is quite fun. Not so much because of of the broadband speeds, althuogh that too is fun. I am just chillin here for a bit and trying to get some things done online while I wait for Kyera to become availiable. Oh well, back to the wireless web.

The above didnt post when I told it to so therefore I am making an addition. Kyera and I just biked to George St. Cafe and had a desert while we talked to Dr. Miller (head of the Honors College at Millersville U). Then we came back to her place to get ready for Dan and Carla's rehresal dinner. Tonite should be a bit fun; I am hoping that I will be able to ride my bike home tonite so that my knee can get some kind of a workout. It started to rain a minute ago and now that has stopped. There sounds like thunder in the distance, but that is of no real concern. Ah well; still wireless and wanting to bless God with it. Sitting out amongst his creation and typing this is a lot of fun. I hope that others would one day be able to do this as well.

A New Day

Hello all on this new day. It is just after 4am when I am writing this, and I am sitting here listening to some tracks from my Gosepl Rap collection. The song on now is "We In Here" by Corey Red and Precise. I have a few artists in my collection, such as Cross Movemment, da TRUTH and the afromentioned C-Red and Precise. Those brothers always encourage me in the Lord and give me something to think about. With my current study into the book of Hebrews, a lot of what I hear from them is mirrored within their rhymes. It is an encouragement for me, and I hope a call to repentance to others.

In other news, tonight I attened a bachelor party for my bro Dan. Congrats to Dan and Carla as they will be getting married in Millersville this Sat. I am a groomsman in the wedding and it will be fun to be in another wedding. Last Sept. I was a groomsman for my bro Kenny Gat. Gat is now playing for the Lancaster Lighting semi-pro football team. I am proud of him and hope that he will get teh chance to play pro ball. I will be in another wedding in a few weeks for my other bro Trev. He will be getting married on the 17th of July. Good think that it is not me trying to plan a wedding now. There just seems to be too much planning for weddings. I personally need something simple. A private and personal wedding would be fine; I would just invite everyone to the reception(s). That would be better for all the people that I know.

Finally; I just want to say hello to all my friends and family that view my website. I am glad that God has blessed me with the means to communicate with you. I would hope that those of you who are mad at me for not calling would at least check in on here and understand that I do not mean to forget you; I jsut am forgetful when it comes to the phone. Really bad, especially since I have a cell phone that I almost never turn off. Oh well; please forgive me for that one; I will improve at some point.

Sending a special hug to Cool Ranch ;) cause she gives me the best ones.

Site Refreshing

Hello all; as you can tell, I am in the mist of a site refreshing. Please let me know if any links do not work, or pictures are not appearing. I am streamlining things so that the site loads a tick faster, and that some destinations are clearer to getting to. At this point, pages are not changing, but that too may happen (just while I am not on this 9.6k connection with my phone). Read More

An Update Long Overdue

Hello;
This is an update that is long over due. It has been over a week since I last updated this page to let friends and family know what is going on wihtin this piece of my world. I can say that I have been tremendously busy, and due to that have had to move priorities around some.

First off, in the last three weeks, I have moved from Millersville, to Philly, and to Lancaster. I am now in Lancaster because I am teaching a few classes with the Upward Bound program at Millersville. I am staying with my friend Damond and his family. As I am writing this, his 3 year old daughter Atiim is talking into a fan and having fun with her voice doing funny sounds. She makes my time up here much more enjoyable. You can see her picture on the side bar. She is probably the most charismatic three year old that I have ever met.

With Upward Bound, I am co-instructing in 4 classes: Web Development, Internet Usage, Media, and Graphic Arts. The first two I have more expertise than my co-instructor, so I get to make a lot of the decisions and grading for that class. He does better in the latter two and so I gladly hand the reins to him. My co-leader is named Devon. This past Spring, he worked with Nickeloden (sp??) as an intern. He is an excellent graphic artist. This is my thrid year working with Upward Bound, and my thrid with working with him. It has been a great run.

Then there is Kyera. She went to Connecticut for a short bit and is now back in Millersville. She was originally supposed to be there for 8 weeks. Plans changed and now she is much closer. Although, I make it out to be a bad thing sometimes. I am very releived that she is close to me during this time that I am working in Millersville. Even though we are not a half a block away from each other, we are closer than a few states in between. I will not get as much time with her as normally either, but that does not matter, as any time that I can get with her (that I am not sleepy or tired from bike riding to and from Lancaster/Millersville) I do enjoy.

The only other thing that I can think about is that I am thinking about adding another version of my site that will look good on lower resoultion devices, like phones and PDAs. I need to get the forms and other news things ironed out, but I think that publishing both a desktop and a mobile version of my site is a good idea in terms of making myself for availiable. Look forward to a prototype site as I can get time.

In the meantime, read comics.com; keep me in your prayers; and be a peace with the reflection in the mirror; you have to see it quite often ;-)
Peace. Read More

Distance Does A Spirit Good

I am going to have an honest moment for a bit here. Usually, I reserve this space to let people know of some of the good that happens to and around me. I really do bless God for this space and opportunity; and that is why I will spill on here for a bit before going to bed. I will let you know that what comes below is unedited thought and prose.

I wanted to let my writes be concise and get to the point; this is my chance to throw the dice and ask the Lord who concerns thereof the make things turn out nice; but I can't; I am trapped between distance of my love and the opportunities that stand. Who are you that dares approach my way, get within my paths and relate pessimistic haze; I am the King's kid and His heart at gaze; it is more than love to me and why I needed it is clear to me; God gave me a heart that is far beyond what I can imagine or think, and yet people just want a piece to go with their own ways; I am being used by those whom I respect; played by the world called X-ians. They leave him out and have a doubt yet I need to be sure that He and me have a love that will shout. I am about the love and getting closer to where I left; but find myself moving back to where I left the world that caused scars and heft. Where is the release from the religion of living; where people get back to the breathin for the King who was willing; is wiling as presents are a perfect as grammar gets; talking less about salvation and more about baguettes. I need a touch from the Lord, else distance makes me tamed, tainted to the beauty that you showed me when I was built away from hatin; you've given me a chance, and change from walking to skatin, and now I need your peace for you feel far but no delayin. You get to me clear and hear my words nigh; yet if I talked like this in the world I would be turned off for the dollar and alphabet soup guys. Its ok, this hard knock life is just for me; give me a tome of your word and I will slurp it until the day after infinity. And if that day would come where I leave before I am full, I would hope that my love who reads this knows that it was only a part of the rule. I am designed to be a lover and a hugger and a brother, a keepsake to my mother, and a bother to all others; but only till they know that I love them over the covers; and take my dirt out plain so that we see the light weight lover. I'm in the house and although the point is muddled, just keep reading and let this hit you wet like a puddle. Splash this upon your face and then return to the huddle. Make a left for the end zone and let no other lovers cuddle; we are the real team just hold on God is real, and even if the distance to Him is really far, don't you think he move closer to His spill. I know I am not a finished product but I am moving in His will; and if you drink His presence like milk, nothing but good will you feel.

This is the first psalm of my new book called A Return to Closer Than Worship. As I write in this new compliation, I will be displaying some of the psalms here for your view. As normal, if you have any questions or commnets, just email me. Read More

Website Updates

Just a note of some changes that have happened to the website:

The Portfolio page has been updated with the latest website from the Office of Learning Servies at Millersville University.

The Services page has been updated with specific information concerning website design and mobile computer services. Pleaes take note of the pricing and terms as they are NOT a complete listing, but a part of what appears on all contracts.

That is all for now. There may be a header update cooming soon as I am looking to make the menu more interactive yet simpler. Until then, I apologize for the current state, it looked good at one point, IMO.

Long Days

There is something to be said about long days in the summer. You can take the time to read more mail, or visit more friends, or just enjoy the weather. Today was a nice long summer day. I saw Kyera off to CT. Then took a walk to Penn's Landing (roughly 30 blocks). Then on the way to meeting my mentee Dawn, I ran into a guy I knew from high school and another guy I knew from college. That was interesting to see people whom I didn't expect to see. Then I met with my mentee and we talked about what tech tools that she would need for her trip to London. We covered PDAs and laptops. We started in Staples and then went to the AT&T store to check out the Treo 600 (www.palmone.com/products). She really liked that one. After that I met up with my sister and her boyfriend Mark. Mark and I went back to his place and I began the process of taking some spyware off of his computer. He has a firewall but not a virus scanner, so that made it quite hard to get to everything. I got some of it off, but will have to give him the demo of my virus scanner to get to the virus that may be there. Then we played basketball. We lost both games, but had fun. I then came home and checked email and synced my Palm; took a shower and ate some pudding, and then watched the Lakers and Pistons play. I decided to play a game of NBA Live 2004 afterwards. That was kool since I was able to win in the playoff series that I am in and get to the finals. Sixers versus Lakers. I hope to win, but I have gotten a lot further than I thought I would. Losing now is not a bad thing. Then I came online to update the site. It has been a long day. But like most summer days, long days are enjoyable. I hope that you manage to have a long day too. Enjoy the sun and enjoy the day. Peace.

Wednesday Dealings

Hello from the other side of Hump Day. Today did not feel too much like a hump for me, except that I had been busy with meetings and phone calls all day. Was on the phone with a good deal of people, all with computer questions and comments. That was kool. I took a trip into Center City and that was a refreshing blast of the past for me. Just taking the El was a trip down memory lane when I used to take the El home after school. I even saw a few students from my old high school. Man, those uniforms will never look good. Pale blue shirts and grey pants, some one has to order a new tailor for them. I also ran into some old neighbors and found out that ther nanna was in the hospital. That was a sad note to my day, and she and the rest of their family I will be more mindful to keep in my prayers. It was good to see them though. It is good to see a familiar face. Right now I am eating ice cream after taking my Sixers past the Pistons in 7 on NBA Live 2004. We were up 2 games to 0, then lost three straight, then won game six in a hard game. Game seven was a blowout. I was up by 27 at the end of the 3rd quarter. I don't expect my team to make it any further, but they sure do play well in the clutch. Well, that is all for me right now. Peace and blessings to all.

Dialup ewww

I am moved back to Philly now and I am here using dialup. I do not think that I will want to get used to it. I am using Juno's Speedband. It is a twix faster than I thought that it would be. I still do not see myself getting used to it.

In other news that only dialup can provide. Kyera, I miss you. It has been a day and I am already not liking being more than a half block away. Trev, hurry up and get back so that we can chat anytime. To everyone else, don't think that I do not want to talk about you by name, I am just on dialup.

DSL has to come here soon. It really has to. Read More
