April 24, 2008: FreedomWorks Delivers First Wave of Petitions to Capitol Hill Leadership Offices

Today FreedomWorks delivered the first 12,000 signatures and comments from the Angry Renter petition to House Minority Leader John Boehner and House Minority Whip Roy Blunt. We delivered the message that renters, taxpayers, and responsible homeowners oppose a government bailout of borrowers and lenders who made risky decisions.

As we continue to get more signers for the petition, we will make more deliveries to Congressional offices. Next week we will deliver our petition to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer.
