It is funny(well not funny)--but on a web site where Christians can dialoge there is thread about whether or not you are saved and that is with out merit or has anthing to do with what we do or don't do. I was brought up in the CRC so I am very Calvinistic and from my understanding of Neil Anderson is view was that I am God's child and nothing nor anyone can rip that away from me. And that brought me freedom. Just basking in that love. And that is what changes me--makes me love God and want more that anything to serve Him. I need to keep focused on that TRUTH. On this thread on worthyboards there were some that said that you can fall from grace- if you don't do what you are supposed to do. I am sinner and the only way to heaven in through the Lord Jesus Christ. If I produce fruit it is only because of the love of the Lord in my heart and His Holy Spirit. I can't do it on my own. So, I feel assurance from God that this is truth. I can't fall from grace. That is a LIE and only leads to fear and death in my opinion. THANKS SO MUCH. 2003-05-19 Halle 10 10 10 10 No Trent: Thank you very much for your timely and detailed response. It's good to know that there are people out there that are willing to give you their time. You ask if I am saved. I believe I am but...I call myself a Christian but am embarrassed because although i believe I am saved, my actions do not suggest as much. I am having a difficult time with my life right now-I was going to Church last year for the 1st time in my 38 years on a regular basis. An old friend and I met up (not at church) and she was going through a divorce and to make a long story short, we ended up dating and then getting married. EAch of us have 3 kids (mine are Christian) and we are having a difficult time merging the family together. My wife and I fight all the time and even though when I met her she was an atheist, she was recently saved (Christ has been reaching her through me) we are still having problems. I am having a tough time doing Bible studies with her, our lifes are very busy, and most of the time she is worn out and disinterested. I am telling you all this because my questions were two-fold: My wife recently took a religion class at ASU-I asked her to be careful about what they were teaching her as you know, ASU is a very liberal college. It turned out my hunch was right, the class was called Women and Religion and was being taught from a feminist point of view. In short, because there is too much too talk about this secular instructor and her teachings to mention, my wife seemed to believe that Mary was the disciple whom Jesus loved and started to beleive in the Gnostics. My second question has more to do with me, I often wonder if I have demons. My wifes past, which I should forgive and forget, is always on my mind. And because of some of the things she had did, I often become jealous and questioning and I drive her nutts. I know this is vague, but I can't seem to stop myself nor can I forget some of the sexual stories she told me. They are in my head, and I often wonder if SAtan has me where he wants me. I am going to a psychologist but I need God more than Freud! I know this email is crazy so that was the basis for my questions. Please pray for us and our kids, (mine are saved 2 of hers are interested and one is fighting God, but I know she wants to come around, claims to be atheist). I will have more questions for you and I am sorry for the long-winded email, sure could use some prayer and I desparately want my life to change. Well back to re-reading what you wrote me and thank you again for your time and I thank Jesus Christ for allowing you to help me find an answer to questions that I have. Most people today want a scientific answer-something full of intellect, nothing is easy anymore....:) Scott in Mesa AZ
