Varied Roles but One Purpose

"It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." ~Ephesians 4: 11-13 (ESV)

Ministry must lead others to the simplicity found in Christ; all else is mere distraction. Wherever we fit in the body of Christ, may our purpose be one and the same - to point others to Him. Jesus Himself will then do what is needed. He will purge, strengthen, equip, and reveal Himself. He will pour out His grace. He will draw us to Himself.

"But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself." ~ John 12:32
