David Ker's Binary Biblical Studies Parody Carnival 11111

David Ker has come up with a parody Biblical Studies meme.

The idea is to produce parody titles of posts for five bibliobloggers, who, in turn, can nominate others.  Oh yes, and to link to David Ker, who is growing anxious about his technorati rating.

Suzanne McCarthy:  Women:  universal suffrage or universal suffering?  The New Testament view.

Duane Smith:  Oh no!  Not another meme -- I'm busy translating the colophons in the Letter of Gilgamesh.

David Ker:  Jesus wants you to help me finish my list of 80 blogs.

T. C. Robinson:  Three things I like about the Gospels.

Rick Mansfield:  Everyone's invited over Wednesday night for a fine Southern home-cooked meal.

With apologies to those selected -- who actually wrote these insightful posts recently:

Some of those real posts almost seem like parodies...

Your wife may be resisting you, fighting you, and spurning your attempts to lead, but it makes no difference. I believe our wives want us and need us to lead.

Can you imagine someone writing this in an article on marriage. Its from The Husband's Role in marriage on the CBMW website. There is no need to parody it.

I think we all know what Shakespeare play this comes from. Shows what happens if you don't know Bard from Bible.

On the other hand ... if the wife is beckoning and making overt appeals, then ...

Good grief, Suzanne -- and I thought Canadians were all proper. (Except those from Quebec).

Lest cast iron be stereotype as merely a southern item of cookware, I would refer you to Chef John Folse's book on Cast Iron Cooking (available from Amazon) in which he sections his book by cooking regions in the United States. As I say, "In the event of an Apocalypse, you can still cook in cast iron."

All kidding aside, as of tonight, This Lamp resumes its regular programming.

Iyov, I've also been tagged by Roger Mugs. We're in the middle of the Meme season...haha

I'm glad you found my post on the Apocrypha helpful.

Rick -- I do enjoy your cast iron cooking site. I'm afraid I'm too lazy to cook in cast iron (by the way, whatever happened to the aluminum cookware craze?) But I enjoy the vicarious thrill of reading your blog.
