Hi friends. My school friend got placed in EDS and he is leaving tomorrow. This is the first time he is going away from his parents and this may be also a new experience for him and this will also help him to move with the outside environment and shape him. All the best for him in future.

The past one month I have been really happy as it was Aadi month, which is not considered auspicious for weddings and other functions. So no weddings, no grahapravesams, no engagements and other functions. And I enjoyed simply being at home. But now, all that has come to an end and things are back again. Today I had been to a wedding. As one of my closest relatives was getting married I had to go there early. So I started as early as 7 A.M from home and my parents went there the previous day itself. Well, as you all know, there are so many events in a marriage. How many times to see all those things again and again. (Will it all not happen to me soon??)

Then comes the main part, tieing the knot and finally the most imporatant part, eating, of course. After all this is over, the wedding hall becomes almost empty. OMG!!! Irundha onu rendu nala figures um poiduche!!! Then what else, chat with all the paatis there. The worst thing is I keep answering to a highly irritating question “When are going to join, Vijay? Are you simply jobless at home?”

At last I was tired after all these talks and I managed to sleep a little. Then at evening was the best part of the wedding NALANGU, where everyone including the newly weds had nice fun. Followed by this was the reception, then again dinner, really got bored. Finally it was around 9 when we all could start from there. I reached home by 10 and went to bed straight and I was flat in minutes.

So, I guess I will attending many more weddings like this the following month. Huh!! What to do.. This is the punishment am getting for being jobless at home.. Anyways Happy Wedding for all those who gonna get married soon!!!!

Hi friends. This is post is dedicated purely to my Chithi. This day is a special day for Hindus where they worship Lord Lakshmi. It is believed that worshipping Goddess Lakshmi on this day gives the benefits of worshipping Ashta Lakshmi – the eight goddesses of Earth, Learning, Wealth, Love, Fame, Strength, Peace and Pleasure.

On the day, homes are cleaned and will be decorated with mango leaves and rangoli. Footprints of the goddess will be painted from the threshold to the place of worship, symbolically welcoming the goddess of wealth Mahalakshmi.

We all gathered in my Chithi house and Shlokas were dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the idol of the goddess is decorated, a Kalash half-filled with rice and neck of the pot is decorated with fresh mango and betel leaves, a coconut smeared with haldi and kumkum and cloth are placed in the puja area and Goddess Lakshmi is invoked therein. Women fast till the puja is over. Special dishes like vada, dal vadas and sweets like payasam were prepared on the day.

Well today is my mom Birthday and i celebrated it alone with my sweet mom since my sister was in her house and my Dad was out of station. It was already late night and i was thinking what to do and then went to my area bakery and bought a cake. Then came home and straight away took the cake to bedroom and kept near my mom and woke my mom and then wished her. I hope it would have been surprise for her and then she cut the cake and then my sister called my mom and wished her.

Well few days back i got a call from “THE HINDU” and a lady spoke with me and she was asking about me and i thought it is from any one of the company where i have submitted my resume and later they told me that they are calling from HINDU. Before that they asked about my placements and i tolf that i got placed in iGate and got the call letter on March 19th of next year. Then she was asking me about the other students of my class and about their placements. I told about few of them and gave Naresh’s number to her since she asked me to give any other number from my class. Then she promised me that they wont publish my name in their news and won’t damage me. Yesterday when i was reading a news about IT downfall i started laughing. They had put my news by replacing my name as Raju. Very funny la?

Hi guys.. It was a happy day for me. My sister has come from Sweden. She has come here for a marriage and will be in Chennai for a couple of weeks. Today morning I got up at 6.30 and went to the airport to receive her. It has been many months since I got up at that time. But as luck would have it, the flight was delayed by one hour or so. When I was waiting there, I could not control my sleep. My eyes started closing automatically as it was around 1 when I slept last night after playing counterstrike. Finally it was worth the wait. I was excited to see my sweet sister and my cute 3-year old niece. Thats me and my cute niece and my “Chithi” in the picture.

They left to her in-laws place and I came back home. And in the noon, I went to her place to see her. She had got a brand new K850i for me. I was really excited to get a new mobile. Then I was playing with niece for quite some time and I really enjoyed having lunch with my sister after a long time. Around 4 o clock I started from there and came home. Totally it was a great day for me.

Well India lies Second in Worlds highest population and for the last few years we are performing very worse in Olympics and this time it has been even more worse by not even qualifying for Hockey which is the National game of our country. We should feel ashamed for this and there are many many talented guys in our country but still they are implementing with the existing one and getting the same results. In this we have won Asia Cup recently also. Once we were the kings in the Hockey game and later we were getting down slowly and this time we totally got damaged. This should be a lesson to every player. Lets once again force every players for that one medal which will come in any one event. Each one of you guess which event will it be this time. Here you go……..

Well the 2008 Olympics is going to start on 8th of this month and i heard that China has put a great effort to welcome the people from all over the world with a great warmth. the very first thing which will come to our mind is the torch relay which is favorite event before the start of the Olympics and this time there were 189 torch bearers took part in it between the age of 15-85. It was started this sunday and the first torch bearer was Giang Min of China.

India leveled the series 1-1. It was Harbajan Singh who made it very easy for India by taking the leading batsmen of Srilankan team. He took 10 wicket haul in this series by taking 6 wickets in the first innings and 4 wickets in the second innings. The Srilankans were bowled out for 136 runs in the fourth day.
