Slade the Witnessing Machine

The highlight from my point of view was my 9 year old son Slade. He came with us and there were people downtown setting up for the Italian Fest. He must have passed out around 75 tracts. We would try to give someone a tract and they would say they already had one. When we got home he thanked me over and over for teaching him how to be an evangelist. At one point he brought tears to my eyes.

I got to talk to about eight teenagers at once and I felt like God touched them all very powerfully. In my experience, over and over again - when we use the law as the schoolmaster to bring people to Christ and tell people of their current condition before God with out Christ and how Jesus took their punishment for them - they thank us and say we’ve never heard it like this before! One of the young people looked at me like “I understand, I understand!” One kid said “Are you a Pastor?” I said No. He said “You should be!” What a compliment!

A school bus coming from a YMCA camp arrived at the YMCA with a bus-load of kids and we got to give them all Jumbo 100 Dollar Bill tracts. After we (Slade, Bob Marino and I) got started the kids started coming up to us and begging for them. Some parents were asking for more for their other kids.

Everyone in the group did an awesome job and seems to have the sense that God is up to something new and big. We prayed in front of the storefront building that was lent to us to use for outreach and dedicated it to God and asked for wisdom as to how to use it.
