Hi,
I am trying to make a “question for experts” form where people are posting inquiry about their pet medial issues.
When I make a custom field “type: Select” i can not use ?, ?, Å¡, ž characters in the “Name/Text of Item” field. I need to put in some names of the veterinary staff. So that the question is referred to the specified employee. Is it possible to repair this little bug so that localized UTF-8 characters can be used?
Here is the site with form http://www.prva-klinika.si/blog/?page_id=22
Please notice how other blog content has these characters, seems we have a problem with UTF-8 charset. Please take a look at it asap.
And also please provide me with info on how I can contribute an official Slovenian translation for this plugin.
Thanx,
Yerb

Hmm, they seem to not work right here in the forum too. The characters are Slovenian ?šž?? and also the dots and commas do not wrok. in the “type: Selectâ€.
thanx
That is very strange. This forum is built on Wordpress so it should work… unless Wordpress is broken (or my host is configured weird). I’m going to be upgrading to Wordpress 2.6 so I’ll double check this issue then.

Ah man. We struggled with this back in version 0.9.x with WP 2.3.x I thought the problem solved. I guess the move to WP 2.5.x broke the solution I had.
Could you post some sample foreign characters that are giving you problems within the comments to test it with? I’ll check that they are okay with AJAX submission too.
