Will that technically make me a published writer?
I’ve been battling away in work and the war has drained me right to the gutter so it was nice ego boast when I got a reply from Grey Ghost Press.
Grey Ghost Press publish Fudge and related products (Fudge is a free roleplaying system). I had received a free copy of Fudge 10th Anniversary Edition for having my article “Roleplaying Large Scale Battles” published in the (now inactive) fanzine Fudge Factor and a letter asking for writers to submit adventures to Grey Ghost Press that would be downloadable from the site as demos of Fudge or for demo games at conventions.
So I updated and rewrote my Reboot adventure. I fleshed it out, restructured, proofread it, etc. and sent it to them. This was quite a while ago.
I was hoping they’d like it and use it as one of the demos. Instead I get an email asking if I’d like it to be sold as a commercial downloadable pdf. Okay, so it’s not going to turn me into a bestselling writer or even help me get a book published, but it’s more that someone, not a friend, thought it was worth something. That alone made my day. Hell, maybe I’ll try and get some more stuff published! ![]()
