Political seasons can be rough at times because nothing seems to bring up more debate than our political beliefs, and often our theological beliefs which we often see as closely related or intend to integrate. I’ve become very disullisioned at times with the political process and the malicious 24 hour news cycle that accompanies it.

So I was twittering and happened upon this blog post by Paul Mayers. The post puts forth the premise that many of the books out there on “being church†are pornographic:  They titalate, they excite, they tempt, they fulfill fantasies and they may even provide some release.

Picture the scene. You’re a leading (at least you think you are) Christian church in the USA, preparing for your three yearly convention. You want a logo that’s going to communicate the core elements of what your faith in Jesus is all about, a logo that will be easy to understand and accessible to non-Christians and Christians alike.
