The Missing Virtue

http://ceruleansanctum.com/ 2008/ 09/ the-missing-virtue.html

Step Nine

“Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.†First Things First - changing wherever to whenever gives a different meaning… The Very Spirit; “The readiness to take the full consequences of our past acts, and to take responsibility for the well-being of others at the same time, is the very spirit of Step Nine.†Full consequences.

Fit for an Empress

http://whitneygang.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 09/ fit-for-empress.html

This past week, we were overwhelmingly blessed by a couple of gifts from friends. On more levels than I can even enumerate, these particular presents spoke to my heart of sacrificial love and Christ-like generosity on the part of the human givers.

http://thelife.com/ discover/ faith/ jesus/ passionofchrist/ flashback-the-king-…

Peter winced.  It was almost his turn.  Mentally, he kicked himself for not having remembered to arrange for a basin of water at the door.  Foot-washing was necessary in Palestine.  The streets were dusty and people wore sandals without socks or stockings. It was a mark of honor for a host to provide a slave to wash a guest’s feet.
