I remember reading Born Free and seeing the movie when I was a kid. The story of Elsa and her release into the wild was pretty captivating. But until tonight I had never heard of another lion who also had a connection to the Adamsons, the couple who raised Elsa in Born Free.

I’ve just finished reading the biography of Amy Carmichael. Amy is well-known among Christians as an amazing woman who achieved extraordinary things in her lifetime. She was purposeful and powerful, I dare say very few seconds of her lifetime was wasted. The first time I read Amy’s biography was many years ago.

First Clement is one of the earliest Christians writings outside of the New Testament.  It is dated to around 90-95 A.D. Its author is said to be Clement, Bishop of Rome, but the letter itself does not claim an author except for its title:  "The Letter from the Romans to the Corinthians".
