TypeRodent is a Microsoft Word for Windows 6.0 font utility. Using TypeRodent you can generate either a single document containing a complete list of all the installed TrueType fonts on your system or a formatted sample of the typeface of your choice.

When creating a sample, TypeRodent will generate a two page document that will put the selected typeface through its paces. This two page print-out is suitable for use in a typeface sample collection. It includes a one-page chart showing the ANSI character value for each character any typeface produces. The second page also includes a handy keyboard reference showing the character each key can produce using any particular typeface.

After you download this file, uncompress it using your favorite PKZip-compatible software (I recommend Aladdin System's freeware Stuffit Expander for either Macintosh or Windows systems!). Then save the typerat.dot file to your Winword 6.0 template directory. Open the template through File|New on the menu, and follow the dialog boxes. (Yes, folks, it's that easy! <grin>)
