Scrap Orchard is owned and operated by three friends; Shauna Burke-Smith of Pineapple Plantation Designs, Kami Leonard of Ziggle Designs, and Melisa Nishi of Pixel Geek Design.
Together it is our hope to not only provide you with a great place to shop, but to inspire you with our gallery, to teach you with our tutorials and to perhaps spark a bit of your "inner artist" with our challenges and contests!
Our biggest hope is that the time you spend here with us, our designers, creative team and fellow scrappers is a fun, happy and wonderful experience!

Store | Gallery | Blog Hey! My name is Kami and I am Ziggle Designs. I am 32 years old (rapidly approaching 33- ugh). I have been married for 14 years and I have a beautiful 3 year old daughter. I started digi-scrapping in 2005, shortly after my daughter was born. I didn't have the time or the space to paper scrap but I wanted to keep up with my scrapbooks! I stumbled across digital scrapbooking and I was hooked from the minute I downloaded my first kit (a freebie!!!). I have been designing since August 2007. I started out making products to use for my photography business and I just fell in love with designing! I'm so excited about opening ScrapOrchard.com with these amazing ladies! I hope you love it here as much as we do!
Melisa Nishi
Gallery | Blog Howdy! My name is Melisa.. I go by Mel. I am a 29-year old, single-mom of four fur-babies (2 Chihuahuas and 2 cats). I am originally from a small Army town in Southeast Arizona. On a risky whim, I packed up everything I could fit in my car and moved to Austin, Texas in September 2002.
For the past 10 or so years, I had worked in billing departments, call centers, doctor office's and hospitals. In July 2007, I was offered a job as a Web/Graphic Designer for a company I had previously done freelance work for; I, obviously, accepted the position in a heartbeak. Currently, I am a Web/Graphic Designer for a company based in the D.C. area, which means, I have the privilege of being able to work from home.. and it freakin' rocks!
I am also a Certified Personal Trainer, as well as a 3rd Degree Black Belt. I have bveen studying Taekwondo for the past 15 years and couldn't imagine my life with out it. It is truly my "First Love". I have been out of competition for the last couple of years, but plan to begin training again (getting in shape, loosing excess poundage) and hope to compete in the 2009 US Open. Wish me luck!
I started digiscrapping in December 2007, so I am still fairly new to the craft and feel I still have a lot to learn, but I have been fortunate to surround myself with insanely talented people/designers and plan to milk them for all their worth! On a related note, Kami of Ziggle Designs is my big sis (she is the one who got me hooked on digiscrapping.. darn her!).
I am the Webmaster for Scrap Orchard (so if anything on the site does not work, it's most likely my doing!) and Scrap Orchard Creative Team Lead; I am also on the Ziggle Design Creative Team.
I am so excited about Scrap Orchard and am so honored to have been included in this venture!

Store | Gallery | Blog Aloha! My name is Shauna Burke-Smith and I am a (dare I speak my age out loud?) 38 year old proud Army wife and even prouder mother of 3. DD Brittany is 15 going on 35, DD Emily is 13 and (thank the Lord) still a bit of a tomboy, and DS Ethan is an 8 year old blond hair, blue eyed ball of energy! We are currently living in Hawaii on the island of Oahu but in the process of selling our home and moving to New Jersey! I began digi scrapping last October and designing shortly thereafter! My days (for now anyway) are spent designing and my evenings are spent at my favorite nearby beach, Ko’Olina, where DH and I go nearly every day to hang out, catch up, relax and watch the sunset for the short time between him coming home from work and the craziness of dinner, dishes, homework, baths and bedtimes! I'm in addition to loving my home here at Scrap Orchard, I'm also a Sunshine Girl and love hangin' with that crazy bunch of designers!
