How Near is 'The End'?

It's probably so appropriate that this is my 777th post on Beside the Point...

Recently I shared on a Sunday morning that a sense that human life may suffer an end point seems to be ingrained in us all. In the 1980s, it was a nuclear winter. Now it's global warming. And it's nothing new. The ancient Mayans actually predicted the end of the world in December of 2012. Really.

Now, it's not that I don't take such things seriously. There are many threats to human existence. In fact, there appear to be so many that ABC News is planning a 2 hour program this fall saying that life on earth may cease to exist within the next 100 years. Here is the website article with an accompanying video.

One friendly suggestion: If you choose to read it and send an email, I would not suggest a flippant "Jesus will have returned by then." First, it will not necessarily be received well on the other end, and second, I'm afraid hundreds of evangelicals have already beat you to the punch.:)

Hello,
The public perception is superficial. These Christian organizations are promoting the Roman-Hellenist” Jesus”, ], which even the Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible has acknowledged was accomplished through tens of thousands of misojudaic redactions in the NT. Torah says that the Jews has an eternal Covenant with Hasheim – the Creator – and they shall never listen to prophets that removes or adds commandments from the Torah (see Devarim (some translate it Deuteronomy) 13:1-6). These Christian organisations practices Torah selectively and are trying to deceive Jews to practice Torah selectively.

If you want to learn about the Historical Ribi Yehoshua, whom Orthodox Jews can live with (witness the Netzarim Jews in Raanana, Israel, members in good standing in an Orthodox synagogue), you must start with books like How Jesus Became Christian by Prof. Barrie Wilson (most bookstores) and Who Are The Netzarim? (publ. www.schuellerhouse.com) by Israeli Orthodox Jew, Paqid Yirmeyahu Ben-David.

Follower of Ribi Yehoshua – Messias – in Orthodox Judaism.
