Stanley:
Descendants of Jasper Stanley (b. abt 1836?)

Descendants of Jasper Jeffers Sr. (b. 1843) Through this line I am a descendant of Sir William Cecil (b. 1520), Prime Minister of England under Queen Elizabeth I.
Brown:
Descendants of John Brown (b. 1795)

Just for Fun

I can't prove descent from any of these lines (yet!), but I have included them because of their connection to our family names. Warning: The further back these lines go, the more legendary they become.

Vikings/Normans: Both the Percivals and the Percys were of Norman ancestry.
Descendants of Ivar, a Viking (b. after 770). Ivar's grandson, Ragnvald "the Wise" Eysteinsson,  may well have been an early common ancestor of me and my wife.
Britons/Bretons: The Percivals were descendants of the Dukes of both Normandy and Brittany. These pages trace the Percivals' Celtic ancestry (under construction)
Descendants of Llyr Lleddiarth (b. abt 55 BC, if he was not a purely mythical figure). This chart is of almost no truly historical value, but it included for the sake of completeness. According to one legend, Llyr's mother-in-law was Anna, daughter of Joseph of Arimathea. Descendants of Gradlon Mawr (b. abt 330). Descendants of Erispoë (late 8th century), a line through Robert de Breherval's father. Erispoë's descendancy from earlier rulers of Brittany is a matter of wild speculation, but from here forward the line is more or less established.
Descendants of Alfrond ap Justin (b. abt 830), a line through Robert de Breherval's mother.
The House of Percival:
Descendants of Robert de Breherval, Lord of Breherval and Yvery (d. abt 1083). Robert was a cousin of William the Conqueror, a ranking officer in William's invading army of 1066, who spent his later years as a monk.

The House of Percy:
Descendants of Mainfred de Percy (b. 980).
