17 Jun 2008 3:14am GMT Our daughter Abigail lived 9 days before she died Thursday, June 12th, 2008. She died of Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Neither we nor our doctors knew ahead of time of her condition until it was too late. Please remember me, my wife Rebecca and my daughter Kaylynn Schafer in your prayers.I have done some research on this syndrome and shared it with my wife and family. Baby Abigail
5 Jun 2008 11:58am GMT Howdy Y'all!Baby Abigail, my new daughter, was born on yesterday, June 3rd, at 9:16am. She weighs 5.10oz and over 18+ inches tall. She is blonde and has blue eyes. We found out yesterday when the doctor and nurses examined Abigail that she has a cleft palate in the back of her mouth into her nasal cavity. This has and will cause problems with her feeding and problems with her sinuses and ear infections this year. We will have to do a surgery by the time she reaches 12 months to help fix the...
