Warriors Orochi 2: 96 heroes, one UMD, August 25

The game boasts a whopping 96 playable characters, two of which are new to this handheld incarnation. New game modes are also called for, including one which pits heroes versus heroes (sans armies) for close combat, tag-team scuffles. We're hopeful that Koei will have better luck in its attempts to break the 100 character mark with the inevitable Warriors Orochi 3.

i don't know which one has been millked worse; the koei hack n' slash games or the guitar hero games.

Guitar Hero. Because Koei doesn't have a electronic handheld version of Dynasty Warriors, unlike Activision's Guitar Hero Carabiner.

I finally tried one of these Koei hack and slash games. Wow. Not for me.

Whats the difference between Warriors Orochi, and Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce?
sony boy @ Jul 9th 2009 10:34PM
strikeforce is probably better.

Strikeforce is themed off of Dynasty Warriors 6. When I played it, it seemed to be the kind of thing that Phantasy Star: Portable, or MH is. ie: playable, but only enjoyable in multiplayer. It also seemed to be more linear, I dunno, I took it back the day I bought it.
Warriors Orochi 2 will be hack and slash goodness in the vein of older Dynasty Warriors/warriors Orochi/Samurai Warriors koei titles.

I love Warriors franchise. I may be downvoted, but I honestly can't wait for more releases!

Turtlebelly, Strikeforce is only DW6 related by the character design, moveset, and weapons. All else is original. In other words, Strikeforce has really nothing to do with Dynasty Warriors 6.

Hence the "Themed" portion of my statement :)

I love the DW, SW, and Orochi series. Yes I know it's pointless, mindless hack and slash, but they're fun as hell.

Supposedly dual layer UMD's only have 1.8 gb of space. It's amazing what they are able to do with the PSP now.
