Now I’ve finally made a PSP version of Jolin Tsai’s song 野蠻éŠæˆ² (Ye Man You Xi). I’ve been meaning to post it ever since the first PV I posted on this site, but I was never satisfied with the results.

This PV was the one that got me into Jolin’s music. I downloaded some of her PVs because she had been bashed on an Ayu forum I go to, just to see what the fuss was all about. Turns out I like her

This video is weird because most of it is progressive, then there are some scenes which are interlaced, but in a weird way where a few frames are interlaced, then a progressive frame, then interlaced again. It even has a zoom effect added on already interlaced frames *shudders*. The person who mastered this DVD should be shot (well, not really).

Now I finally did what I wanted to do with this video, which was to cut it up in pieces (45 to be exact) and de-interlace the interlaced scenes while keeping the other scenes as they were to avoid quality loss and then put them back together again. I hope I put them in the correct order . It wasn’t hard, I just hadn’t gotten around to it is all.

There’s a lot going on in this PV, so I chose a higher bitrate than I usually do, but this video is still not the best quality. I made one that looked very nice, but it’s 61 MB, which I think is a bit too much for a portable video file. The one I posted here is a decent compromise between quality and size.
