IS there a rivalry i am unaware of between the two towns? I found the cats in catskill and the dogs (my preference) in Hudson! thanks, rose-marie; 3:27 PM

Olana has no exact address but it is in Hudson, NY 12534. Today the Olana State Historic Site is accessed off of Route 9G in Hudson, though that isn't the original entrance.

This photo must be from the cutting garden just below the wall that circles the entrance, right? I recognize the chicken wire.

Olana is a very beautiful place. Frederic Church called it "The center of the world."

The cat-dog rivalry between Catskill and Hudson is a friendly rivalry, nothing serious.
