Funny Frugal Post

So, I cruise from one blog to another sometimes and come across strange/funny/exciting new things. Here is a funny one I found tonight. It is written by the husband of a frugal shopper. Very entertaining. (Must admit, Christina, I immediately thought of you!).

Birthday Photos - Finally!

We have had spotty internet all week, but our friendly neighborhood AT&T guy came out today and hopefully fixed it all. Yeah! Samuel had such a great birthday last Friday. Samuel wanted nothing more than to play with Abbie. We got up in the morning and went out for pancakes. Samuel opened a book from G&G Payne and a train set from Mom and Dad. Then we took him to Target and bought him a Thomas train. (p.s. those things are expensive!!). We went and picked up Abbie and took her to the park. Then we returned home and ate lunch and played. The two nutballs were at the height of their silliness after lunch. I was trying to take a birthday picture of them together, but they were out of control! Check out the video at the end.

Two Years Ago...

These pictures were taken almost exactly two years ago (I'm off by 15 minutes!). Ed and I were in the hospital anxiously awaiting the birth of our first child. We were scared, excited, nervous, tired! Our heads were filled with pictures of what our lives would look like in one year, two years, five years, ten years. Here we are two years into it and God has blessed us more than we ever could have imagined! Samuel will turn two years old at 1:16am Friday morning. What a joy he is.

You can see his first appearance on the blog here.

And here is my favorite picture from Samuel's birth day:

To celebrate his 2nd birthday, we asked Samuel what he would like to do. His response: Abby. He wants to play with Abby. So we are hopefully picking her up tomorrow to take her out on the town with us. When asked what are his favorite foods, he responded: ice cream, cereal and ice. What a weirdo!

Help My Mom

Okay, so if you haven't read my mom's blog yet, you should go check it out. She is getting the hang of writing on a blog - good mix of pictures and stories and some witty comments thrown in. Also, she has done something I haven't done yet - made a poll on her sidebar. She's looking for decorating advice. NOW, I will give this warning. I convinced her to buy a pair of sofas for her living room at home and she HATES them. Everytime we sit down in them she inevitably comments "oh, I just hate these sofas." SO, if you do give her advice on the curtains, do it anonymously. You've been warned!

He's Got Rhythm

Poor kid - a mix of Seitz and Payne genes just isn't what you want when it comes to dancing or singing. Here's Samuel groovin' to a little tune:

Did you catch that act of brotherly love there at the end? Oh, brother!

Love Me

For the longest time Samuel would not say "I love you". He wouldn't even say the word "love". He will repeat almost anything you tell him, but each time we'd say "I love you" he would just laugh. We could get him to repeat "I" and "you" but he wouldn't give it up with the "love"! You can count the number of times we have gotten an "I love you" out of him on one hand! What he thinks is really cute is to say "Love Me" after you tell him "I love you". Here he is hamming it up:

Later in the day I caught Samuel being nice to Joel. He didn't know I was around and was actually being sweet to his brother (a rarity these days!).

Well, They're Officially Old...

My parents have packed up and moved to an old people's home in Florida! Well, it's just a vacation home, they're not staying full-time, and apparently they're busier than I am! But if you'd like to keep up with them, check out my mom's new blog.

Sweet Boys

I'm going through pics I've taken and haven't blogged yet. Praise the Lord for such sweet boys - I love them to pieces!
